Mike Masser

Co-founder & President
Mike possesses a lifetime of agricultural knowledge and experience. From his early 20s he began overseeing the planting, tending and harvesting of grain crops on the family’s several hundred acre farm. Since the family’s transition to viticulture in 1999, Mike has harvested over 1.5 million pounds of fruit and has grown grapes that have produced some of the highest awarded wines in Pennsylvania. In 2023 Benigna's Creek became the first Pennsylvania winery to receive a Decanter International award for it's Traminette wine. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his children and grandchildren, hunting, and is an active member of his church.

Jake Masser

Co-Owner & Vice President
Jake is a 2021 Food Sciences graduate from Penn State University in State College, PA. As a child, Jake took a keen interest in learning the family business from his father, Mike, and his Uncle, Rick. His winemaking interests influenced his decision to pursue a food science degree that would ultimately continue a loved family tradition. In his winemaking role, Jake prioritizes Benigna's Creek's mission of providing the highest quality of wines to be enjoyed at any occasion. When he is not making wine, Jake enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with his wife, friends and family.

Madeline Klinger (Masser)

Co-Owner & Secretary
Madeline first fell in love with the family business while helping her grandmother plant Benigna’s Creek’s first vines when she was 7 years old.
Madeline graduated from Bloomsburg University with a degree in Business Management. After spending four years in the insurance industry, she rejoined the company in 2019. Madeline is responsible for the company's strategic vision, wholesale relationships, marketing management and winery event planning. In her free time, she enjoys trips to the beach and mountains as well as spending time with her husband and children.

Rick masser

Retired, Co-founder
From his first trial batch in 1980, Rick has made over 300,000 gallons of wine. In 2023, Rick became the first wine maker in Pennsylvania history to receive an International Decanter award for Benigna's Creek Traminette wine. This award was just one of many of Rick's contributions to the PA wine making industry over his successful 25+ year career. In his retirement, Rick enjoys hunting, racing and working on automobiles, and treating his family to cookouts.
